DEATH BEE COMES HER
Book 1 in the Oregon Honeycomb Mysteries
by Nancy Coco

Meet Wren Johnson, owner of Let It Bee - a shop that sells all things honey, from candy to lip balm to candles. Wren lives and works in the small town of Oceanview along the Oregon coast. Her pet cat, Everett is a constant companion. He is a talkative Havana Brown cat who loves to go for walks on a leash.
One day when Wren is walking Everett on the beach, the kitty points Wren to the prone body of Agnes Snow among the dunes. Agnes is the arch-rival of Wren’s Aunt Eloise, and she is definitely dead. The only clue is a label from one of Wren’s handmade lip balms clutched in Agnes’s right hand.
Wren calls 9-1-1 and meets Office Jim Hampton, a Paul Newman lookalike who is suspicious of Wren from the start. Wren is suspect number one in his eyes - and her Aunt Eloise is suspect number two. Wren, along with Everett, must follow the clues to catch the real killer and clear their names.

This Barnes & Noble Exclusive Edition is available only at Barnes & Noble through December 31, 2020.

DEATH BEE COMES HER was one sweet way of saying goodbye to my reading of 2019 and hello to my reading of 2020. If all new cozy mysteries are going to be this tasty, we are in for a wonderful year!

I so enjoyed getting to know the people in this series. Author Nancy Coco it simply wonderful in developing great characters. I think we were introduced to at least 6 in the first chapter! Protagonist, Wren Johnson and her cat, Everett are a joy to read, but then the entire town of people are fun to get to know. I would love to live in a town like Oceanview, Oregon.

Author Coco isn’t only good at writing characters, she knows how to write a brilliant mystery. She did exactly that in DEATH BEE COMES HER. From the discovery of the body early in the story, page after page pulled me in. I became so involved in the investigation, when I had to stop reading for any amount of time, the book stayed on my mind as I ran through clues and suspects. Finally, I pushed back errands and other tasks I needed to get done, so I could finish the book. It was totally worth it!

DEATH BEE COMES HER is everything I look for in a true cozy mystery and more. If you’re looking to start a new series this year, make it the Oregon Honeycomb Mysteries.

And I almost forgot. Several of the chapters start off with interesting tips about honey. And, there are recipes included. But not all are recipes like you’re thinking. Fun!

Love the cover - especially the little honey bear in the front corner. Makes me think of my childhood.

Love starting new series and meeting all the characters inside. This one sounds like it's starting off on a good footing with lot of room to continue. Can't wait!
