BOOK TOUR
Note: This is not a cozy mystery.
I'm happy to be a stop on this book tour for author
David Burnsworth
and his new book
BAD TIME TO BE IN IT
A Blu Carraway Mystery
The past is never past. Sometimes it repeats itself. And sometimes it comes back to pay a visit.
Blu Carraway, flush with cash and back in business, never had it so good. Or so he thought.
The reality is his love life is in shambles, his business partner is spending too much time with women half his age and not enough time on the job, and someone close goes missing.
Blu tries to avoid the first and second by focusing on his work, but it’s the third that very nearly does him and everyone around him in.
His business partner goes off the rails, his friends show their true colors, and he realizes that getting closure sometimes means walking away from everything. With a case from the past gone wrong twice, a loved one in trouble, and an unanswered marriage proposal, it’s a bad time to be in it for Blu Carraway Investigations.

Schedules
David Brunsworth
Some days I have no idea how I’m
going to get everything done. I’m guessing I’m not alone in that thought.
Working a day job and writing my next book while promoting the current one can
get hairy sometimes.
My day job is
unique. I work with others in the company to improve their processes. In this
role over the years and across two companies, I have worked with marketing,
sales, customer service, engineering, scheduling, manufacturing, quality,
safety, maintenance, accounting, and human resources. It can be a lot of fun
most of the time.
My books travel
through many hands between the manuscript I initially turn in and the printed
copy in the bookstores. The finished copy wouldn’t be anywhere near readable if
I tried to do all the editing myself and I’m thankful to have worked with some
really good editors over the years. What I love about writing is getting into
the characters and experiencing the scenes with them. As a side note, I also
enjoy the research I get to do because I learn new things all the time.
I have outsourced
a lot of my promotion. But I write my own blog posts and my newsletter which,
while fun, takes time and isn’t easy. One of my favorite activities is signings
in book stores. It is great to be able to introduce readers to my mysteries. I
meet many nice people during these. Another good time I have is at reader
conferences. I reconnect with my author friends and, like book signings but on
a grander scale, meet readers interested in new to them authors.
In all, it’s a
busy schedule, but I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t like it. Thank you,
readers, for helping me be able to do something I hope to do the rest of my
life.
David Burnsworth became fascinated with the Deep South at a young age. After a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and fifteen years in the corporate world, he made the decision to write a novel. In It For The Money is his fourth mystery. Having lived in Charleston on Sullivan’s Island for five years, the setting was a foregone conclusion. He and his wife call South Carolina home.
