Today I'm sharing my review for a hysterical new book from author
Julie Seedorf

Hermiony Vidalia Criony Fiddlestadt, aka Granny, and Jezabelle Jingle are supersleuths in their own communities, Granny from Fuchsia and Jezabelle from Brilliant. Because they live only twenty miles apart in rural Minnesota, they are careful not to encroach on each other’s territory. Granny and Jezabelle both believe a rivalry exists on who is the better crime solver.

When Delight Delure, Granny’s friend and Jezabelle’s niece, sends them on vacation with the women’s two best friends, Mavis and Lizzy, they don’t know they will be actual cabin neighbors at Weed Lake in Northern Minnesota. During a skirmish with each other and an accidental plop in the lake, they find a dead body. Adding to the mystery are clues and puzzles left on their doorstep that may warn of danger and others that show friendship and caring. Which one should they believe? Are their lives in peril, or are they being pranked, and to what end?

The two cunning amateur sleuths work together to solve a murder that Sheriff Phil Puxatawny doesn’t take seriously. But mayhem breaks out, having all four women wondering if they’ll leave Weed Lake alive.

WEED LAKE

Having read the books so far in Ms. Seedorf’s Fuchsia, Minnesota, and her Brilliant, Minnesota series, and loving them, I’ve wondered just how she could outdo herself. Enter the Fuchsia/Brilliant, MN Crossover!

Author Seedorf has brought together, for their first shared adventure, senior sleuths, Hermiony Vidalia Criony Fiddlestadt, aka Granny, and Jezabelle Jingle. Best! Idea! Ever!

Whenever I start a book with Granny or Jezabelle, I always have tissues handy because I know I’m going to laugh myself to tears. Half way into reading this geriatric cozy mystery, my tissue supply ran out!

Granny and Jezabelle are like oil and water. There is no way these two ladies should have been able to work together. However, when it came to finding a dead body while on vacation with each lady’s best friend, they were able to put their differences aside (well, most of them), be the supersleuths they are, and find themselves a killer!

Through I’m still laughing while typing this review, be assured, WEED LAKE isn’t a comedy book. It’s a very well done cozy mystery that, crafted perfectly by the author, had me stumped until the surprising reveal.

WEED LAKE is filled with mystery, mayhem, intrigue, and good, old fashioned crime solving, and giggle fits. You can’t go wrong with this one!

About Julie Seedorf

As human beings, we are always a work in progress. From birth to death we live, hurt, laugh, cry, feel, and with all of those emotions we grow as people, as family members, and as friends. I am a dreamer and feel blessed to have the opportunity in my writing to pass those dreams on to others. I believe you are never too old to dream and to turn those dreams into a creative endeavor. I live in rural Minnesota and I am a wife, mother, and grandmother.

I have worn many hats throughout my life such as working as a waitress, nursing home activities, office manager and finally computer repair person eventually owning my own computer repair business. I never forgot my love of writing and quit my computer business in 2012 after signing a contract with Cozy Cat Press for Granny Hooks A Crook, the first book in my Fuchsia, Minnesota Series.

Using my imagination with fictional communities in Minnesota in both the Fuchsia Series and Brilliant, Minnesota Series hopefully will spark imagination in others bringing laughter and joy to my reader's lives.

I also dabble a bit in watercolor painting bringing another passion to my life. When we lose our infinite imagination and passion we lose a little bit inside of ourselves.

Oh, and did I tell you I like to be a little bit silly.
