There you all are! Some of my very favorite people!

Speaking of favorite people, I'm often asked about my family. I'm one of 8 children. 3 boys and 5 girls. 4 of us are biological. I only throw that last part in because people always say, "You're poor mother!" LOL

Sandy & Dennie
(Dennie is my brother-in-law)

Tammie & Darlene

My day trip companions. The 3 of us are always out and doing something.
Tammie and I share a house. No one else could live with us! LOL

Norma
Norma is a lot like Bigfoot. It's rare to ever get a photo of her. If I did, I'd be dead meat if I ever posted it.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing all of this, Lisa! I really enjoyed learning more about you and your family, and for including the wonderful photographs! Unlike you with a large family, I'm an only child. I’ve been blessed with four grown children, nineteen grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

    Here’s today’s unjumbled words:

    descendants
    generations
    clan
    relatives
    genealogy
    ancestors
    progenitors
    relations
    siblings
    lineage
    children
    brood

  2. Snow angels are so fun. When I used to like the snow anyway. Our kids loved to make them all over the neighborhood. LOL What a wonderful family. Our family was 7. Five kids and mom and dad. I was the oldest Lori. Then Floyd Jr (dead), John, Billy Joe (dead) and April (nine years younger than me. April and I had a hard time being friends. It just didnt happen. Finally when both of our kids were in school full time, we decided to see if there was anything there as sisters. So we started to exercise together and then we would go to lunch. Now we are best of friends and our children are best of friends also. Us kids are all a mixture of German, Swedish, Irish and Cherokee indian. My great great grandma was full Cherokee. My sister looks so much like her. Except the eyes. My husband found a photo of a relative in Ancestery that my sisters daughter could be an exact twin. That one was spooky. LOL

  3. Hi, Lisa. I’m one of six children, two brothers and four sisters. My parents, one brother and one sister have passed away. Like you, I grew up in the church (my grandmother and parents very active). I didn’t know how blessed I was, growing up, but know now. I’m very close to my two sisters and my brother used to call us “the sisterhood“.
    Happy Sunday!

  5. My parents are both in heaven too. Dad went fast with no warning in 2005. After Dad’s passing, Mom had cancer surgery and the onset of Alzheimer after moving in with us. We were 24/7 full-time caregivers having promised both my parents that they wouldn’t be placed in a nursing home. The last 4 years were rough, but we know Mom had as good a quality of life as possible and we have no regrets on what might have been. She went to be with Dad in 2014. I had one brother who was 4 ½ years older than me. When we were young, he was my bubby and I adored him and I think he did me too. As we got older the age difference seemed to grow. Although raised the same, we were complete opposites. Where family was everything to me, he went 9 years with no communication with any of us. Sadly he passed the same year Mom did just 8 months later. It saddens me that we couldn’t reconnect before his passing, but I also know I did all I could to make it happen. So I am the only remaining person from my family. Thankfully through my love of my husband, it brought me another family. No in-laws here. Hubby and I had one daughter, Jenet, who went to her heavenly home at the age of 17. I know she got to meet her siblings, a set of twins that didn’t make it to delivery, once she got there.

  6. I have a huge family. I have 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Two brothers are deceased, the two eldest. We are all half siblings though. My dad was a busy man and the ladies liked him. ;-)

  8. One sister. Though wouldn't have minded to always find people who are like brothers and sisters. Never know can still happen. Though do have many relatives.
