1) Tell us a little bit about yourself. MY name is Maggie Park. I have a secret. I’m a witch living in a mortal world. No one knows my family members are all witches, white witches. They think we just own The Brew, my family’s diner where we all work. I’m single, but available.

2) What has been your favorite adventure? I have to say going undercover with SKUL, the Secret Keepers of the Universal Laws. Really I’ve not been on many adventures and I’ve been spending a lot of my time trying to figure out when my Witchy Hour is going to happen. So I’m going to say going undercover to make good on a bet has been pretty fun.

3) What is your favorite treat? Hands down, my Aunt Meme’s fried cornbread and brown beans. Oh…you can’t forget to slice up an onion to put in the beans. Tasty!

4) If you could have a different ability, what would it be? I don’t know my ability. That is what the Witchy Hour is supposed to tell me. I’m nearing my thirties and don’t know it yet….

5) Tell me about your familiar. Oh, Vinnie. He’s not your usual animal familiar. Vinnie is a red 1965 AC Cobra. He definitely doesn’t blend in, but he knows when I’m in a bind and need him to pick me up.

6) What do you see in your next adventure? I’m hoping to get in on more of the action with SKUL. I heard there is something going down at Churchill Downs, the race track down the road.

Tonya Kappes is at her humorous best in this first book of her Spies and Spells Mysteries.
