I have been having a great time off. My sisters are great a planning activities. We're taking a couple day trips today and tomorrow. Not sure where we're going, but I know it will be fun!

Do you like taking day trips? If so, do you always plan them out or do you sometime just get in the car go with no real destination in mind?

We always drove places as a kid, and my mom always had plans! My hubby and I continued driving trips with the kids, some more spontaneous than others!

Most of our trips - whether long ones or day trips - are planned. We are more apt to take things as they come and to explore new roads and places on long trips. Once we get to the main location, we ask more about what's in the area to see and do and that often changes our laid out plans. A lot of our trips are planned around what critters we can see and beautiful landscapes there are so that we can photograph them. We never leave home without a few cameras and all supplies for picture taking. The winter months have us taking more day trips with unplanned routes. Call it cabin fever, but we often need to just get out, see some sunshine and hopefully see something along the way as we explore new routes in our area.

We love day trips! Sometimes we plan it but mostly just drive. Me and my mom traveled cross country a couple of years ago and drove ALOT of back roads, it was a wonderful way to see our country.

ReplyDeleteI have always loved day trips. A destination in mind and know that the day will be filled with fun. My sister and I would pack up our four kids and go have fun. Yes I do like to plan. Our mom was one to just take off. But both my sister and I love to plan where and what will be happening. That way we know for sure where and what will be happening. Now that the kids are gone, it is just my husband and I and he is a super planner but also a procrastinator. So like in times past, I would do the planning and we would have fun.

ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy taking day trips, both planned and unplanned, but as I've gotten older, I find that staying home suits me perfectly.
Yes I do like to go somewhere with no place in mind to go just go.
ReplyDeleteI once was surprised with a day trip and my friends and I ended up going to the USA side & Canada Side. Had so much fun.
My husband and I use to LOVE going on weekend trips with no plan in mind. Just a general area to go to and fly by the seat of our pants!! Have a great time with your sisters!

I do like road trips, but yes I also like them planned out first. However, if I'm with my aunt, planned out is sort of iffy with her..we'll have a tad of a plan..lol!!!! Have fun!! nani_geplcs(at)yahoo(dot)com
