Annie Irvin has enjoyed a nomadic life and after inheriting her grandfather's large collection of books still managed to always find room in the U-Haul for every last page even if it meant leaving behind the kitchen table.  Eventually Annie ended up where she began—a small town in Iowa where gossip is king and scandal has ruined more than one good woman, although no one has yet resorted to murder.

BITTERSWEET HOLLOW MYSTERIES

Rita Strombeck has a Ph.D. in Scandinavian Studies and M.A. in French from the University of Chicago.   Like her heroine, Eve Iverson, she taught languages for several years and enjoys painting. In 1982, she started her own business.  Over the years, she has developed more than 50  education books and programs for health care professionals and the general public.  Rita also received 12 grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and has written successful grant proposals for various nonprofit organizations.   She currently lives in Palm Springs and recently wrote an article for Palm Springs Life magazine on the city’s early women entrepreneurs  - "Women With Vision."
Ever since discovering Nancy Drew in 5th grade, Rita has been a fan of mysteries and now has decided to focus on this first love.  She has written a children’s book  based on Sherlock Holmes. HOT TUB OF DEATH is her first cozy mystery.

SUNSHINE VALLEY MYSTERIES

Rita Gard Seedorf is a retired academic who became reacquainted with her high school classmate, Margaret Verhoef, as they worked on planning their high school reunion.  Together they soon began writing LETTERS FROM BRACKHAM WOOD.   Besides academic publications she has written articles on local history and is the author of One Room out West, the story of a one-room schoolhouse and its students.  She and her husband Marty live in Cheney Washington. They have a son and a daughter and two wonderful grandsons.  


Margaret Albi Verhoef is a retired teacher and school librarian who became reacquainted with her high school classmate, Rita Seedorf, as they worked on planning their high school reunion.  Together they soon began writing LETTERS FROM BRACKHAM WOOD.  Margaret, the wife of a retired Army Dental Officer, developed her skills as a letter-writer during the years they were stationed from Alaska to Texas and New York to Washington State.  She and her husband Doug have a daughter and granddaughter and live with their schnauzer in Spokane, WA. 

MOIRA EDWARDS MYSTERIES

Diane Weiner is a mother of four and a veteran public school teacher with a broad range of teaching experience. She has previously published several music education articles as well as a doctoral dissertation but finds writing fiction to be much more fun. Westbrook, NY, the fictional setting of the Susan Wiles School House Mysteries, bears remarkable similarities to the small town in upstate NY where Diane grew up. She currently resides in South Florida with her husband of many years, their youngest daughter, two cats, and a bisch-a-poo. When not writing, Diane enjoys long distance running and spending time with her family.
MURDER IS ELEMENTARY is her first cozy mystery.

SUSAN WILES SCHOOLHOUSE MYSTERIES

Alice K. Boatwright’s book, Under an English Heaven, is her first Ellie Kent mystery.  Boatwright is also the author of Collateral Damage, three novellas about the long-term impact of the Vietnam War, which won the 2013 Bronze Award for Literary Fiction from the Independent Publisher Book Awards.  She formerly lived in the Cotswolds for several years, and now divides her time between the U.S. and Paris.

ELLIE KENT MYSTERIES

Kate O’Connell spent her youth in Europe, her teen years in northern New Jersey and her twenties in New Mexico, before moving back to Europe and then on to South Africa. To this day, her accent comes from an amalgamation of those places and no one can tell where she comes from. She likes it that way. She also likes to consider herself a librarian, though she has no formal qualifications, compelling the local librarians to keep a sharp eye on her. She does, however, have a lot of education. She received her BA in Theatre and History, her MA in Dance History and Criticism, and her MPhil in Dance Studies.
Kate’s research focused on the Argentine Tango community in London and while learning about the dance, she started teaching and performing. She still teaches classes and workshops and occasionally pushes the living room furniture aside so that she and her husband can dance.
Kate writes novels now. She also swims daily in the Atlantic Ocean and is tortured weekly by her Pilates instructor, and she has made it her mission to teach her daughter everything she knows about making room on the dance floor.

Anna Kern didn’t just have an imaginary friend; as a child, she had imaginary friends that stayed with her way past childhood. She made up stories in her head and dreamed of one day having a book published, but it wasn’t until later in life that she wrote her first novel.
She recently retired from a public school system in Florida and moved to St. Johns County to be closer to her son, James. She shares her condominium with her cats Pooky and Misty who keep her amused and amazed. Murfy lives with her son and visits often.

  35. I've read two books by Glen Ebisch but they weren't from the Cozy Cat Press (not when they were published before). I think the books by this publisher are harder to find and probably not available at the library. Wish I had known about contest and entered because I see some winners haven't claimed their prizes.
