Dream Club Mystery series

Dream Team

Business consultant Taylor Blake has returned to Savannah, Georgia, to help her sister Allison turn her dream of running an old-fashioned candy store into a reality. Allison is also interested in dream interpretation and invites Taylor to her Friday night Dream Club, where members meet once a week to share and analyze their dreams.

When a local dance instructor, Chico Hernandez, is found dead in his studio, and the murder scene has an eerie resemblance to one of the dreams shared at their meeting, Taylor can’t help but be intrigued. And when her sister, who was briefly involved with the dance teacher, becomes the prime suspect, Taylor and their fellow club members can’t be caught napping. It’s up to them to dream up a solution to the murder before Allison faces a real-life nightmare.

Book 2 in Mary Kennedy's Dream Club Mystery series

The national bestselling author of Nightmares Can Be Murder once again gathers together the members of the Dream Club in Savannah, Georgia, where the book tour of a famous chef becomes a recipe for disaster…

Behind her down-home folksy persona, celebrity chef Sonia Scott is a real Dixie diva who’s made plenty of enemies in her climb to the top of the culinary world. One of them is the newest member of the Dream Club, Etta Mae Beasley, who claims Sonia stole her family’s recipes and used them in her latest cookbook.

After Sonia’s suspicious death from anaphylactic shock at a book signing held at Taylor and Ali’s retro candy store, Etta’s revelation sows seeds of doubt in Taylor Blake’s mind. Now the Dream Club needs to put their heads together to determine if one of their own decided to give the chef her just desserts…

Answer to Whodunit Wednesday

Zach eyed his old friend with evident distrust.

"Sherman, if you can prove they stole the ring. why didn't you do it ten minutes ago?"

"I would have proved it earlier, but legally we couldn't search them."

"Search them?" Zach was livid. "What are you talking about? The police just did search them."

Sherman was used to holding his temper and being polite. "Before you and I left the back room," he said calmly, "all three suspects were chewing gum, correct?"

Zach thought for a second. "Correct."

"And yet, when it came time to eat the hamburgers, only two of them removed the gum from their mouths. What happened to the third kid's gum?"

"I don't know. Maybe he swallowed it."

Without another word of speculation, Sherman walked into the back room. Kneeling down, he checked under the table and the chairs. "Here it is," he said, lifting up a chair and showing the underside. "Timmy's chair. I'm also willing to bet this is Timmy's gum stuck on the bottom and your ring is stuck in the middle of it."
