It's
THROWBACK THURSDAY!
Ready to learn about a new old series?

Today I am featuring an author I'm sure most of you have heard of.
Jessica Beck author of the Donut Shop Mysteries, who is also
Chris Cavender author of the Pizza Lovers Mysteries.
The author behind these pen names, as well as Elizabeth Bright and Casey Mayes is Tim Myers.

However, for this TBT I'm featuring a series Tim writes under yet another pen name, Melissa Glazer.
The Clay & Crime Mystery series.

This was a three book series containing the tiles...

In Maple Ridge, Vermont, Carolyn Emerson planned to ease into her golden years running her paint-your-own-pottery shop, Fire at Will. She never expected to uncover a dead body in the shop, and she certainly didn't plan on a drop in live clientele.

Now it's up to Carolyn and her shop's pottery club, The Firing Squad, to help clear her name. But can she find a killer and more customers without her own brush with death?

Includes directions for a pottery project!

It's easy enough to misplace a clay piece in a busy paint-your-own-pottery studio like Fire at Will. Misplacing a person, however? Potter Carolyn Emerson can't explain why renowned ceramics artist Charles Potter disappeared en route to an appearance at her shop. Then the man finally shows up -- and turns out to be her assistant David's estranged father. But instead of being met with open arms, he's met with murder. and David is the prime suspect.

Clay crafting tips included!

Carolyn and Bill Emerson have always dreamed of owning the building where Carolyn's paint-your-own pottery business is located in picturesque Maple Ridge, Vermont. So when building inspector Charlie Cobb gives them a hard time, Bill loses it. Then Cobb is found head down in a bucket of liquid clay, deliberately drowned -- and Bill is the prime suspect. Worried, Carolyn decides to conduct her own investigation to clear her husband's name.

  1. I've heard of this series but it is pretty far down my list to read right now. I thought that it sounded pretty interesting, different from the usual craft books...someday.

  2. I've always liked Tim Myers' books and I've read all three of the Melissa Glazer books. I've kept up with his pseudonyms. I still have some of the books under the Tim Myers name to read (candlemaking series) and one or two of the Elizabeth Brights. I haven't read any Chris Cavender or Jessica Beck ones yet. He's one of my favorite male mystery writers.
