What's Cooking?
Slow and easy meals.

🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽

Wonderful, cold days are here!
(Yes, I said wonderful. I love cold weather!)
It's the perfect time to fill your house with the tantalizing aromas of a slow cooker meal.

The Crock-Pot Ladies Big Book of Slow Cooker Dinners is a lifetime of delicious dinner ideas that are as easy to make as they are flavorful.

The Crock-Pot Ladies walk the walk of raising busy families and feeding them well. Meet Heidi, Katie, and Sarah, three awesome cooks who preside over households that together include ten children along with a variety of husbands, grandchildren, and other relatives—all while they maintain super-busy work-at-home schedules that fill most of each day.

The hundreds of thousands of readers of their wildly popular website, Crock-Pot Ladies, rely on them for nutritious and tasty recipes that deliver variety over monotony, comfort over pretense, and, above all, quick prep work over laboriously fancy productions.

In this book, their first, featuring 275 recipes—over half of which are brand new and not available on their website—the Crock-Pot Ladies use easy-to-shop-for, available-anywhere ingredients to build terrific soups and stews, dips and spreads, sides and casseroles, and, especially, protein-packed main courses for big appetites. Experts at cooking for the freezer, the Ladies serve up 25 freezer meal plans, covering 5-, 7-, and 10-day plans, that use the many freezer-friendly recipes in the book.

Nobody knows Crock-Pots and other slow cookers like the Crock-Pot Ladies, and The Crock-Pot Ladies Big Book of Slow Cooker Dinners is chock-full of tips and tricks that show you how to get the most from any model or size of slow cooker. This is a book you can rely on, day in and day out, weekdays and weekends, for fabulous dinners that don't demand time that you don't have.

MY REVIEW

I’m always happy to learn new recipes for my slow cooker. Nothing is better on a cold day than to smell the delicious aroma that fills the house while the crock-pot cooks away.

THE CROCK-POT LADIES BIG BOOK OF SLOW COOKER DINNERS is as good a cookbook as you’ll find. It begins with the introduction, SLOW COOKER MAGIC which is everything you need to know about buying and using the best slow cooker. Each chapter that follows is filled with wonderful recipes. And not just dinner ones as the title suggests. From appetizers to entrees and sauces to desserts, you’ll find something for everyone’s tastes.

Prepare  your taste buds for recipes like . . . Warm Broccoli and Cheese Dip, Sweet-and-Sour Pineapple Little Smokies, Decadent Lobster Bisque, Tex-Mex Chicken Taco Soup, Kid-Friendly Cheesy Bacon Ranch Pasta, Simple Ravioli Casserole, N0-Fuss Chicken Marsala, Delicious Turkey Potpie, Cornish Game Hens and Potatoes, Cheeseburger Sloppy Joes, Salisbury Steak Meatballs, Spicy BBQ Bison Brisket, Asian Pork Lo Mein, Spicy Sausage and Rotini, Crustless Veggie Pie, So-Easy Coconut Quinoa Curry, Tart Apple Crumble, Sweet-Sugar Cookie Party Mix, Lemony Lemon Spon Cake, Pizza Sauce, Italian Dressing Spice Mix, Au Jus Mix, and so very much more!

There aren’t many photos in this book. I prefer mine filled with them. But the large color photos that are included will make your tumbly rumbly. The recipes range from easy to follow, to a little more in depth. From classic, to revamped with a twist, your mouth will water with every page.

With THE CROCK-POT LADIES BIG BOOK OF SLOW COOKER DINNERS, authors Heidi Kennedy, Katie Handling, and Sarah Ince will have you breaking out your slow cooker every day!

  1. Ok, now don't think I'm crazy or of the last century, but I've never owned a crock pot. My BFF keeps threatening to get me one, but I do just fine without it - so far. :) I think it's grand for those that have to leave the house and want to come home to supper cooked. The recipes always sounds so delicious though. Maybe I'm not to old to change. LOL
