I'm excited to have author
J. A. LANG
back on the blog touring with her latest
Chef Maurice book
CHEF MAURICE
AND THE BUNNY-BOILER BAKE OFF
Book 3 in the Chef Maurice Mystery series

They say all’s Fayre in love and baking...

Spring has sprung, the bunting is up, and for the residents of the little Cotswold village of Beakley, this can only mean one thing: it’s time for the Beakley Spring Fayre.

Drawing the crowds this year is stiletto-strutting celebrity chef Miranda Matthews, a woman for whom making enemies is a piece of (shop-bought) cake. And one of them is lurking around the Fayre, ready to make sure Miranda hangs up her apron—for good.

Faced with a murderer with a possible penchant for top(ping) chefs, Chef Maurice must sift through the clues and weigh up the suspects—not to mention contending with a sous-chef with mummy issues, a food critic on a diet, and a bulletproof pudding—as he finds himself on the trail of a killer who’s not cooking by the rules...

MY REVIEW

Author J. A. Lang has penned the best Chef Maurice book yet! Her first two books in this series were so wonderful, I wouldn’t have thought it was possible to improve on them, but she has, and done so brilliantly!

In CHEF MAURICE AND THE BUNNY-BOILER BAKE OFF, Chef Maurice finds himself in the middle of another murder. As if he doesn’t already have his hands full with running his restaurant, Le Cochon Rouge, dealing with his sous-chef who is having personal issues, and all his other responsibilities, he’s also on the hunt for a killer.

Ms. Lang is a wonderful writer who brings a unique voice to her characters. Chef Maurice is a breath of fresh air to the traditional mystery genre, yet he also has the feel of a classic Christie character. With humor, intrigue, and food descriptions that will make your stomach growl, the author draws you in on page one and doesn’t loosen her hold until the last page.

Readers are in for a real treat with CHEF MAURICE AND THE BUNNY-BOILER BAKE OFF. If you haven’t read any of this series yet, do yourself a favor and also grab copies of CHEF MAURICE AND A SPOT OF TRUFFLE and CHEF MAURICE AND THE WRATH OF GRAPES! You’re going to love them!

I have one request to make of J. A. Lang…recipes please!!!
