I'm a huge fan of the Hayley Powell Food and Cocktails Mysteries by author Lee Hollis. And book 8, DEATH OF A PUMPKIN CARVER is one of my favorites.

Throughout the series, we read about protagonist, and divorced mom, Hayley. She doesn't hold back when it comes to how she feels about her ex. Just because he isn't her favorite person in the world, she isn't about to let him so to jail for a murder she knows he didn't commit. 

It was nice seeing Hayley got to bat for her ex. And it's always fun, when Hayley's friends Liddy, and Mona get involved. And they always do!

You can't go wrong with any book in this series. But if you're looking for a pumpkin of a good time, DEATH OF A PUMPKIN CARVER is for you!
