Have you ever wondered what your favorite authors are doing when they aren't writing those wonderful cozy mysteries that we love so much?
Do they have other jobs, hobbies, hidden talents?
Now you can find out!
Stop by the blog on Thursdays for delightful guest posts from our amazing authors!
They're going to be sharing all sorts of things that they do when they're not writing.

As always, please leave a comment and
You have some lovely autographs and pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jen! I keep my photos in ring binders and I have 6 medium sized and 1 large one. I had a hard time choosing which ones to post here!
DeleteWow! Those are awesome! I have a few but not as many as you :-)
ReplyDeleteDawn, I could know you socks off if I showed you everything. ;-) But I haven't been to an event in years. Well, the Mystery Author Festive last August, and that sure counts, but nothing for actors.
DeleteLOL Knock you socks off.
DeleteWhat a cool collection of autographs and photos! Lisa, you have met so many famous people in person. And I love all of the photos of you with the stars. You look great!
ReplyDeleteMy son has an autographed photo of Denis Leary that he treasures. He sent Leary original techno music he made for him and Leary sent an autographed photo thanking him. I'll show Peter all of yours. :)
Very cool!!!
Susan, your son must have been beside himself with excitement! How very cool for him!
DeleteI love your hobby. I collect autographed books. It started when I entered a contest and won 2 Sandra Brown books. I've added quite a few to my collection since then. Some I have won and some I've met the authors and bought their books and they signed them. That's the best part as you get to talk to them for a minute or two.
ReplyDeletePaula, I collect signed books too. And book marks, bookplate, whatever the author likes to share. As a matter of fact, I was collecting authors signatures long before I became a reviewer. I didn't mention them in my post. I think I'll add that real quick. And yes, in person is the best, because you can talk with them.
DeleteAwesome! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLoved your post, Lisa! What a great hobby. I w/b looking forward to "When I'm Not Writing"-Thursdays.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat! I'm looking forward to them too! I can't wait to see what the authors come up with!
DeleteThese are fabulous!How fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sherry! Keep a look out for autographed items at all those yard sales! ;-)
DeleteWow, Lisa, that is awesome. You've been hobnobbing with some famous people!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary! LOL Not hobnobbing, but there were some hugs involved! :-)
DeleteThose are sterling! I hope you have decided who to will these to, maybe they'll build a museum for your collection. I laughed at Flo! And Mary Martin is your sister--small world.
ReplyDeleteKaye, my younger sister is the only one in my family who would want them. Picking a entertainment museum or something would be a great idea!
DeleteAnd sorry for the confusion. Mary Martin isn't my sister. My sister gave me the Playbill. Did you know that Mary Martin was Larry Hagman's mother?
OH, you had me fooled with Mary Martin. I did know that about Larry Hagman.
DeleteWho knew. I recognize all of them. I think I may have something for you. It will be a surprise. PM me your address.
ReplyDeleteI'm embarrassed to admit, I'm not connecting you name here to your real name. :-(
DeleteWow Lisa -- what an awesome collection!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Celia!
DeleteWow, Lisa, that's impressive! I can't compete. I have a few autographed books. I got close enough to take a nice photo of Tom Selleck once. Biggest kick (for me): my husband and I attended a closed rehearsal and had dinner with the band Saliva :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vicki! Fun that you got a pic of Tom S!
DeleteThanks for sharing your amazing collection of autographs! I love getting glimpses into the lives of all my Facebook friends. Keep up the great work, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea for Thursdays Lisa! You have some collection of autographs & pictures...um...er...did you happen to get Matthew McConaughey's phone number?...he's totally hot!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! And you have some very impressive autographs!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elaine. It's a lot of fun. Some of the ones I've received through the mail, have also included letters. I've also sent a questionnaire page to some. It was fun to get them back filled out.
DeleteWhat an amazing collection of autographs and photos you have, Lisa. I have so few of celebrities compared to you but I was happy to get those in person so I can imagine how you feel. Wow!! Looking forward to your Thursday author column very much. You are amazing. What great ideas you have!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCynthia
It is a lot of fun. I've been doing it around 32 years. And thank you for the kind words about the blog. :-)
